We've been here in Gainesville since Monday with the staff of Adventures in Missions since Monday praying, worshiping and being together in preparation for the team's arrival. They will arrive today (Thursday) and we will have a wonderful training weekend before we fly out Monday. I can't wait for our team to arrive. Hopefully, we'll get a good team picture for you all soon. I'm really excited to see what God does this summer. We will be going to a beautiful country and we will be bringing a powerful love. Jesus is what these people need. We will encounter difficult things, heartbreaking situations, and the reality of darkness, but we will trust the Lord, rely on His love, and rejoice because "Greater is He who is in us than He who is in the world!"
As we have time, we will update you on what God is doing. We won't know until we have settled in what the internet situation looks like, but parents: rest assured! We will call AIM as soon as we can after landing in Johannesburg. 🙂
